What are the online security features?
On Equifax Complete™ Protection and Equifax Complete™ Protection for Family, they are device protection, parental controls, a VPN, a password manager, and social media monitoring, on the number of devices and adults listed in each plan. Equifax Complete™ Premier and Equifax Complete™ Friends and Family do not include these features.
Does this stop identity theft from happening?
No, and no product can. What these plans do is put multiple layers of online defence in your way first, help you spot the signs of ID theft or fraud faster, and help you recover if it happens, through identity restoration services and ID theft insurance.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can call to cancel at any time. There are no partial month refunds, so your subscription runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for.
What is dark web monitoring actually searching?
Equifax searches thousands of sites where consumers’ personal information is suspected of being bought and sold. That can include credit card numbers, email addresses, bank account numbers, or your Social Insurance Number if you provide it. When your information is found, you’re notified so you can act quickly.
How much identity theft insurance is included?
Up to $1 million per covered adult. This feature is not available as part of new product purchases for residents of Quebec.
Who can subscribe?
Equifax Complete™ is available to residents of Canada aged 18 and over.
